Teenage Girl Memorizes Quran in 3 Months
It took Irim Ashkin only 93 days to memorize the entire Holy Book.
The 15-year-old lives in the city of Konya in south-central Turkey, according to Sputnik.
She first took intensive courses on recitation of the Quran but later decided to memorize the verses.
Her teacher encouraged Irim after seeing her talent in memorizing the Quran.
“I began with memorizing 1 to 5 pages a day and later the number of pages increased to 15,” she says.
Irim’s teachers described her achievement as incredible, saying it takes people several years to memorize the Quran but the teenage girl did it in three months.
The Holy Quran is the only religious Scripture that is memorized by its followers.
Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.
The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
